Daily Social Report
Your numbers, read for you every morning — and a Gmail draft telling you exactly what to post today.
- Desktop for setup
- Setup ~15 min
- Chrome + Gmail
- Runs every morning
Get your kit on the table first — five things, one time.
On your phone? Get the kit emailed to you and come back at your desk. The first run has to be watched, and that needs a computer.
You need the Claude desktop app with Cowork, Google Chrome with the Claude in Chrome extension connected, that Chrome profile logged in to YouTube Studio, Instagram (a professional account) and Meta Business Suite, and the Gmail connector enabled.
Have your details handy: your YouTube channel ID (the UC… part of your Studio URL), your Instagram handle, the exact Facebook Page name, and who should receive the email.

Checking three dashboards every morning is a time problem.
Not a data problem. This system hands that half hour back to you.
Every morning Claude opens YouTube Studio, Instagram Insights and Meta Business Suite right in your Chrome browser, reads your real numbers off the screen, compares them to yesterday, and writes a designed email: what's working, what's leaking, and exactly what to post today. It leaves it as a Gmail draft. You skim it and hit send. No APIs, no spreadsheets, no third-party analytics tool.
The four pieces
Step 1. Create a home for it
In Claude, create a new project with its own folder and call it Daily Social Report. Everything lives here: the report, the data notes and the history. One folder, one source of truth.
Why a dedicated project? Claude keeps the memory — yesterday's numbers — and your setup right where the work happens. A separate folder means clean day-over-day comparisons and nothing bleeding in from other chats. One setup, done.
Step 2. Install the skill — the brain
Open the kit from the email above, open the skill file, and click Save skill. That's it — Claude now knows the whole playbook.
Three things are inside the kit: the skill itself (the instructions), the report template (the design), and a starter data-notes file (the memory).
Step 3. Tell Claude who you are
Copy the message below, fill in the five blanks, and paste it into your project. Claude saves these to your project instructions and copies the template and starter data notes into your folder.
Set up my daily social report. My brand name is ___, my YouTube channel ID is UC___, my Instagram is @___, my Facebook Page is ___, and send the report to ___@___.
Filling the five blanks
- Brand name — how you want to be named in the report header.
- YouTube channel ID — the
UC…string in your Studio URL. - Instagram — your handle, no @ needed.
- Facebook Page — the exact Page name. Only this Page is ever pulled: never other pages, never your personal profile.
- Recipients — who gets the draft. That's usually just you.
Step 4. The first run — do this one together
Say the words below and watch Claude work. It opens each dashboard in Chrome, closes popups, reads your numbers, builds the report and creates the Gmail draft. Approve any permission prompts — Chrome tabs, Gmail — as they come up.
Run my daily social report.
Your first report has no day-over-day changes, because there's nothing to compare against yet. Those start on run two. That's normal — let it run rough the first morning and keep going.
Step 5. Set it, then forget it
Once the first run looks right, schedule it. From then on there's a ready-to-send draft waiting before you've had coffee.
Schedule this to run every morning at 7am — run my daily social report.
Done. Every morning, one tap to send.
Step 6. Open. Skim. Send.
That's the whole daily habit. Here's everything the report hands you, rewritten from your real numbers every morning:
- Cross-platform totals — one headline view across YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
- Per-platform deep dives — the numbers that actually move each channel.
- What's working — the wins to lean into today.
- What's not working — the leaks, named rather than buried.
- Today's strategy — exactly what to post, and the best time to post it.
- Make more of this — your top performers, so you double down on what lands.
Step 7. When something's off
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| A platform shows a login screen | Log into it in Chrome once, then rerun. The skill skips — and flags — any platform it can't read. It never guesses numbers. |
| The YouTube tab loads blank | A known quirk the skill already handles by clicking the tab labels instead of loading URLs directly. Nothing for you to do. |
| It pulled the wrong Facebook Page | Meta Business Suite remembers the last portfolio you viewed. Open Business Suite once, switch to the right Page, and rerun. |
| Numbers look “down” every day | The windows roll — 28 and 30 days. A big day dropping out of the window looks like a decline, and the report calls this out when it's the likely cause. |
| No draft was created | Check the Gmail connector is still authorized in Settings → Connectors. |
Step 8. Make it yours
Everything is editable in plain English. Ask Claude to change the colors or sections of the template, add TikTok or LinkedIn once you're ready, change recipients or the schedule, or send a weekly deep-dive on Mondays. Edit the skill the same way you'd edit a recipe.
It never guesses
If a platform can't be read, the report says so instead of inventing a number. That's the rule that makes a daily habit trustworthy.
What lands in your drafts before coffee.
One designed email: the totals, the leaks, and what to post today. Every number here is invented.
- Cross-platform totals first. One headline view, with yesterday's comparison built in from run two onwards.
- The leaks get named. Not buried at the bottom in gray text — if something is sliding, the report says which thing and why.
- Today's post, decided. What to post and when, drawn from what actually performed this week rather than a generic calendar.
- Your top performers, repeated. The “make more of this” block is the one most people act on first.
- A draft, never a send. It lands in Gmail unsent. You skim it and hit send — or don't.
Reels are carrying you this week. YouTube views are sliding on shorts, not long-form.
Read from your own dashboards at 7:02 am · compared against yesterday
What's working
The two-minute “what does earnest money actually do” reel is at 6,100 views, four times your reel average. Saves are up, which is why the algorithm kept feeding it.
What's leaking
Shorts impressions fell for the fourth day. Long-form is flat, so this is a shorts problem, not a channel problem. Two of the last three shorts had no hook in the first second.
Post today
Cut the earnest-money reel into a 40-second short with the question on screen in frame one. Post at 6:40 pm — your best window three weeks running.

Before your first run.
Does this need API keys or a paid analytics tool?
No. It reads the dashboards you already log into, in your own Chrome browser, the same way you would. Nothing is connected to your accounts beyond the Chrome extension and the Gmail connector.
Will it send the email for me?
No. It creates a Gmail draft and stops. You skim it and hit send, which also means a bad-data morning never goes out under your name.
What if one platform fails to load?
It skips that platform and flags it in the report rather than guessing. A missing number is always shown as missing.
Can I add TikTok or LinkedIn?
Yes. Ask Claude to add it to the skill in plain English. The same goes for changing the sections, the colors, the recipients or the schedule.
Watching what your clients post is one job. Turning listing photos into video and writing a month of captions in your voice is another, and AI Marketing Academy has tools for both. Here is what you actually get inside it.
