About

Kristi Jencks

She was never handed a template. She built one.

Real estate coach, speaker, and Tom Ferry Senior Coach. Mother of eight. Two years cancer‑free. Still the person in the room who talks you into a bigger idea of what you can do.

The short answer

Who Kristi is, plainly.

Licensed in real estate since 2014. Led a real estate team before moving into coaching full time.

Coaching agents since 2018. Thousands of hours of one‑to‑one coaching calls.

60+ paid speaking engagements since 2024, across 24 U.S. cities.

Dozens of live trainings and presentations for brokerages, teams, and national events.

Co‑host of Take It and Run. Co‑founder of Claude for Agents with her husband Merrill.

Mother of eight, all adopted through foster care. Grandmother of two.

Where it starts

She built the template.

Kristi grew up in the lower class, often in very difficult circumstances. Nobody handed her a template for the life she wanted.

So she built one.

She decided — young, and on purpose — that her life was going to look different. Then she spent the next two decades being deliberate about it. The marriage. The eight kids. The license. The team. The coaching. None of it happened to her. She chose all of it, in order.

She is not a coach who read about change. She is someone who had to build it from nothing, with no model to copy — and she can tell, quickly, the difference between an agent who wants a different life and one who has decided to have one.

2024

The second time she had to decide.

In 2024, a partial hysterectomy turned into a uterine cancer diagnosis. A full hysterectomy followed.

She is now two years with no evidence of disease.

She kept coaching through it — not as a performance of toughness. She had people counting on her, and showing up for people is the thing she does.

It is also the second time in her life she has had to decide who she was going to be about something she did not choose. She is very good at that particular decision, and it is a large part of why a room trusts her inside of ninety seconds.

Family

Eight kids. Every one through foster care.

Kristi and Merrill married in 2005, at 22 and 24.

They have eight children. All eight came to them through foster care.

That is not a line on a résumé. It is the clearest thing anyone can know about her: she spent two decades building, for eight kids, the childhood she had to build for herself.

In 2026 their first two grandchildren arrived within three weeks of each other.

The work

Agent, then team leader, then coach.

Kristi got licensed in 2014 and was good at it fast. She led a team for years.

Then she noticed something. The part of the week she looked forward to was not her own deals. It was the conversations where an agent finally saw what was in their way.

She became a coach in 2018 and has never looked back. Thousands of one‑to‑one calls since. Dozens of trainings and live presentations. She is now a Tom Ferry Senior Coach.

How Tom Ferry coaching works

The method, demonstrated on herself

She said it out loud. Then she did it.

The first time Kristi met Tom Ferry — her first Success Summit — she said it plainly:

“I’m going to be on stage with him someday, and I’m going to find a way into his inner circle.”

She has since spoken from that stage. And in 2026 she was at Tom Ferry’s home in Jackson Hole, helping plan the Success Summit itself.

That is the whole method, run on herself: name the specific thing out loud, then go be the person who does it. It is also exactly what she asks of every agent she works with.

Not a solo act

The people around her.

Merrill

Her husband since 2005, and her partner in Claude for Agents. He is 6'7" and 300 pounds — a fact Tom Ferry has been known to point out from the stage: eight kids, plus a husband the size of three of them. They watch birds and do astronomy together, which is either the least or the most on‑brand hobby for two people who build systems for a living.

What they build together
Kelcie, who has worked alongside Kristi Jencks since 2015

Kelcie

Kelcie joined in 2015 and has been the reason a great deal of this works ever since — eleven years and counting. She does more things in a week than anyone could put on a list. She is the one who is always there. And she is a genuine friend as much as a colleague, which is rarer in business than it should be.

Off the clock

Small true things.

Diet Coke. Bird watching. Astronomy with Merrill. The beach. Her family, loudly and often.

And a habit that shows up in every room she is in: finding the person who is doubting themselves and talking them into a bigger idea of what they can do.
