She Built a Real Estate Website With Claude in One Week

Can a real estate website built with Claude include home search? A tour of coaching client Megan Cox’s WordPress site, built in about a week: buyer and seller pages, communities, reviews, closing photos, a filterable vendor directory, and RealScout search right on the site.

Recorded live on September 18, 2026. Unscripted, so the transcript below is lightly cleaned up, not rewritten. Watch on YouTube.

What I covered

The short version.

  • Built in about a week. Megan used Claude with WordPress to build a full site: buyer and seller pages, community sections, client reviews and closing photos.
  • A trusted-vendor directory. Visitors can filter her vendor list by the kind of help they need.
  • Home search included. Embedded RealScout search and listing links let visitors start a home search from her site and continue on RealScout.
  • What it costs. Claude’s $20 a month plan plus extra usage, not a $20 total budget. Your WordPress plan also has to support the integration.

Episode of AI Musings with Meryl, where I go live on most business days and just share a fun little tip, trick, or hack of how I'm using AI right now. And most of the time it's how I'm using AI, but today, exciting episode, I get to share how one of my amazing coaching clients is using AI. So many exciting things happening right now. It's like, I feel like I need to do three shows a day to be have enough time to fit everything in, but a week ago today I hosted a live show here on this YouTube channel about how I used Claude to build our website christyjenks.com. You can find a ton of our content on there. And I was just explaining how we use Claude to do it all with a WordPress connector, and how it was actually pretty easy.

But the biggest pushback that we got from the real estate agents is about the IDX, right? I mean, if you how are you going to be a real estate agent and not be able to have homes available for sale on your website. And so that was, you know, a probably the biggest pushback that I really wasn't certain of how to solve. Well, Megan Cox, a really fantastic agent who I'm blessed enough to be able to coach, built her website in about a week, by the way, and on the $20 a month version of Claude, by the way, which is just so insane to me. I can't believe it. She did, by her own admission, spend a little bit more than that in extra token usage, but had she been on the $100 a month plan, she wouldn't have even had to do that.

But what she was able to do, and I'm going to show you the website right now, but what she was able to do is There we go. Sorry, I was just making sure I was getting the right screen shared with everybody. So, what she was able to do was incorporate her RealScout. So, I know a lot of real estate agents who use RealScout. It's kind of a mobile friendly search platform and RealScout will give you kind of an embed code kind of JavaScript plugin that you can place onto your WordPress site with just a couple lines of code. It's really not that really not that terribly difficult or complicated if you have RealScout. I would imagine some of the other IDX platforms that you might already have access to might offer the same feature.

Now two little caveats to be aware of before I show you this and that is that the with the IDX and the plugin and the way it kind of gets displayed on this site, you can't be on the cheapest version of the WordPress account. You probably need the WordPress business account which is probably $20 a month instead of the $5 or $10 a month plan, but that's probably still way less than what you're already paying for your current website. So but first before I show you the I mean I'll show you the IDX here in just a second, but you guys look at how incredible and robust this website is. I mean she built out a listing section, a buyer section, a seller section, community sections, and about me page.

She's she's this one here was one of my favorite. She incorporated a ton of her reviews and put like the actual words of what her clients are really saying about her. Real pictures put into carousels of closings and incredible moments that she's having with her clients and it just it's just so beautiful. I can't believe she built it all in a week on the $20 a month version of Claude. You guys check out this trusted vendors page that she built. This is so insane. All of her trusted vendors right in an incredible list. All of her favorite roofers and all that stuff, but then you can you can filter it down. You just want to see the lenders? Right?

You just want to see the plumbers? Right? Look at how cool that is. I mean, just absolutely amazing. But, let's go check out the listings. So, and I don't I do know that there was a little something in RealScout that she had to do to make sure that she's claiming the listings in RealScout, so that when you go to look at her active listings, it knows which ones are her actual active listings. So, it's there is a process of needing to claim them. And it also looks like we've got a possible duplicate issue. We'll have to let Megan know about that. She is, by the way, she is looking for active feedback. So, this isn't just a Oh, let me show you how awesome our website is.

She's very humble and totally willing to have people you know, point out some things that need some improvement. But again, the ability to just come right in here and perform the search and search for homes right here on the website. So, I mean, let's just let's just give it a try. We'll I know she's primarily in McDonough, and I might not even might not even be saying that correctly. Sorry, everyone who's from there. And let's just say that I want to look at homes up to 400,000, and then I can do the search. So, it does take me to RealScout after I'm done doing the search. But, look at that, embedded right into the page for you to be able to perform the search right there right then and there.

And again, her listings, you know, again, the duplicate issue, but being displayed right on the site. Now again, when you click it bounce it takes you to her RealScout page, but I still think that's super awesome. So, anyway wanted to share that with everyone. I hope you found this to be helpful if you are interested in building out your website and you would love to figure out how to integrate that. Let me know. Megan was nice enough to give me a markdown file of exactly how her Claude and WordPress and RealScout work together to make that happen. So, if you'd like to see that or get your hands on it, we can pass that along to you. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you all have a really
