The short version.
- You bring the list, Claude brings the how. Your job is to name the task and follow the instructions one step at a time.
- Start small anyway. The logistics can feel overwhelming. Sometimes it is harder than one prompt, and sometimes it really is that easy.
- Where to look first. The things you hate doing, and the things you always do the same way in the same order.
- My example. When a deal moves from pending to closed in your CRM or escrow tracker, the Google review request goes out on its own.

Good morning and welcome to a new edition of AI Musings with Meryl. This is my quick morning live show where I share some of what is on my mind, what I'm thinking about, what I'm doing, how I'm using AI today. Still doing a lot of really cool things with our website and AI making new pages, publishing new pages. Really excited. Our newest build is coming out later today. It'll be getting published at about 4:00. We have made what I think is the coolest thing we've done so far. It's a market update AI agent. So basically you follow the setup and in about 5 minutes you get all of the assets you need to be able to provide market updates on social media and email newsletters and blogs like video scripts like all done for you in just a couple of quick clicks.
So that's coming out later today. I'm excited for you guys to check that one out. But not what I'm talking about here today. What I'm talking about today is have you automated anything with AI yet or are you still mainly using AI for advice and what should I do in this situation? I want to challenge you. If you haven't actually taken a task that used to be manual and turned it into a fully automated task using AI, that's my challenge for you this week. I want you to go to your favorite LLM. Obviously I love Claude, but if you're using ChatGPT or Grok Bot or any of them then I want you to just say of all the things that I do on a regular basis, of all the things that I'm spending time on, which of them are the most auto like what's most realistic for me to automate?
And you don't need to know how to automate it. This is the point that I really want to get across. Claude already knows how to automate it. You don't need to be the problem solver. You just need to go to Claude and say, "Here's a list of tasks. I'd love to figure out which one of these I can automate. Where should we start? And Claude will say, "Oh, well, I think this one looks most automatable. Let's figure it out together. This is how I would recommend doing it." And then you just say, "Oh, okay, that sounds great. Can you do it for me?" And it is like think for a while and then it'll come back and be like, "Okay, I've set it up. It's automated now." It is seriously sometimes a lot harder than that.
But other times it really is genuinely that easy. I put out several other videos close to this topic, quit trying to steer the rocket, right? You just need to go to it and say, "Gosh, I'd learn to I would love to learn how to automate something. What would what would be the steps? What do I need to set up? How do you need to be connected to my email to automate that, right?" Now, when you start thinking about what you want to automate and how to automate it and all of the logistics of that, it gets very overwhelming and you Excuse me. And you sometimes might not even start. But I want you to just find something simple, easy, automate one thing and then you'll be able to say, "Oh, that wasn't so hard.
Maybe I can automate another thing." And then you just going to start checking things off your list. And before you know it, you will be saving hours a day because you've automated 17 different things in your life. To give you a clue, like where should you start? I mean, A, I would look at the things that you hate doing, right? Like if you if there's something that you hate doing, is it is it possible to automate those? But in terms of automation, another way to think about it is what are the things that you do that are always done the same way, right? Like you always kind of follow the same procedure, the same order. You always do this first and you do this second.
Or I mean, an example is like let's just say every time you have a closing, you always ask for a review and you always ask for that review to be on your Google My Business profile, right? So, closing review, right? That's a simple example, but that would be very easy to automate. How do I make it so that when I move a deal from pending to closed in my CRM or when I move a deal from pending to closed in my escrow tracker, the review request gets sent. I don't want to have to think about it anymore. It's really easy to automate that and I could give you a bunch of ideas, but that's not the goal of this video. The goal of this video is to say help get Claude to help you automate things.
Go to Claude and say, "What can I automate in my life so that I can do a better job of getting reviews?" Or what can I automate because I hate taking the time to, you know, how can I improve my email? We've got another build on how to improve your email, by the way, but again, I want you like a little less about like following one of our builds and a little more of just getting creative with your own AI and saying, "I'd love to find a way to automate this. Where should we start?" And then let Claude take the wheel and I think you're going to find that you're really able to solve some really cool problems without the know-how. You don't need to know how.
You just need to know how to follow Claude's instructions one step at a time and before you know it, you'll be automating left and right. So, go automate something today and I would genuinely love to hear in the comments what you did and what worked, what didn't work, and what you're learning. Thank you all so much for tuning in. Have a great day.
