If you check every answer, you never handed anything over. The Handoff is three moves that take one task off your plate for good.
Seven texts back from 32 dead leads. Nobody asked me for a better prompt.
A team I coach pointed Claude at 32 leads everyone had given up on and had it write a personal text to each one. Seven texted back. That’s better than one in five, from a list they were paying to store and refusing to touch.
Another broker I coach automated her calendar notifications. She says it cut that work by 80% and gives her back 20+ hours a month. What would you do with an extra 20 hours of your life back?

You added a second job
This week on my calls, nobody asked me how to write a better prompt. What they really asked was what they could stop touching. Most agents use AI like a very fast intern. Ask it something. Check the answer. Fix the answer. Ask again.
You’re still doing the work. You just added a second job. Is that you? If so, keep reading.
If you check every output, you never handed it over. That setup is broken, and it’s why so many agents tell me AI “didn’t save them any time.”
The Handoff
I call the fix The Handoff. It has three moves.
1. Pick a task that qualifies. It repeats every week. It follows rules. It costs you very little if it goes wrong once. Not client-facing, and not the first time you try this. Calendar notifications qualify. A pricing email to a seller does not.
2. Define done in one sentence. What does it produce? What is it allowed to touch? What must it never touch? If you can’t say that out loud, the build isn’t ready.
3. Set the check, then stop checking. Daily the first week. Weekly the second. Monthly after that. Still spot-checking in week three? You didn’t hand it over. You hired it an assistant.

Hand off one task before tomorrow
What you’ll need: Claude and 15 minutes.
Step 1 — Write down everything you did by hand this week. Circle the one task you’d be embarrassed to admit you still do yourself.
Step 2 — Write your done sentence. Use this: “[Task] produces [output]. It can touch [what]. It must never touch [what].”
Step 3 — Paste this into Claude with your done sentence: “Here’s a job I want to hand off. Ask me up to five questions you need answered to do it without me. Then tell me the three most likely ways it goes wrong.”
Step 4 — Put three checks on your calendar. Tomorrow, one week from today, and one month from today.
That’s it. One task off your plate before tomorrow.
I gave you the instructions. Now it’s your turn to take it and run.
This exercise is designed to do one thing: set appointments. Track your progress and pay attention to what is converting.
