Take It and RunThe Blog
One specific move professionals can implement today.
Get the email every WednesdayWhat if your day was already planned when you woke up?
Decision fatigue before 9 AM is costing you appointments. Here’s the 15-minute setup that puts a finished daily briefing in your own drafts folder every single morning.
Most agents start their day the same way.
Open the inbox. Get overwhelmed. Scroll through emails trying to figure out what’s urgent and what can wait. Check the calendar. Realize there’s a gap at 10am and spend 20 minutes deciding what to do with it. Finally open the CRM. It’s already 9:15.
That’s not a morning routine. That’s decision fatigue before you’ve made a single dollar.
Here’s what my husband Merrill built instead
Every morning at 6 AM, before he touches his inbox, Claude sends him a daily briefing. It’s already sitting in his drafts folder when he wakes up. It tells him what’s on his calendar, what gaps need to be filled and with what, and which emails are actually urgent.
He didn’t hire someone to do this. He set it up in about 15 minutes. And now it runs every single day without him thinking about it.

$20
a month for Claude Pro. That’s the whole cost.
This is exactly the kind of thing we teach in our Claude for Agents video series — short tutorials showing you the exact workflows we’re using to run a smarter, faster real estate business with Claude. This build is called “I Built Every Agent a 6 AM Coach (Free Setup, 15 Minutes)” — and yes, we mean free. You just need Claude Pro at $20 a month.
The step-by-step
What you’ll need: Claude Pro ($20/month), the Claude desktop app for Mac or Windows, and either Gmail or Outlook. No coding, no extra software.
Step 1 — Install your connectors. Inside the Claude desktop app’s Cowork tab, install connectors for your email and your calendar. Set permissions to “always allow” so Claude can read your schedule and draft emails on your behalf.
Step 2 — Upload the skill. Download the ZIP file linked in the video description and upload it into Claude’s Skills menu.
Step 3 — Build your brain doc. Open the HTML setup wizard included in the ZIP. Fill in your contact info, time zone, days off, sacred time blocks, how often you want to follow up with past clients, and any urgency keywords for your inbox. It generates a customized brain doc — copy it.
Step 4 — Create your project. In the Cowork tab, create a new project called “daily briefing” and paste your brain doc into the project instructions.
Step 5 — Test it. Run it manually first. In 2–3 minutes, Claude will drop a draft email into your actual drafts folder with your personalized daily briefing.
Step 6 — Schedule it. Set up a scheduled task in Cowork, link it to your daily briefing project, and set it to run at a certain time every morning.
That’s it. One setup. Every morning, done.
Questions I get about this one
What do I need to set this up? Claude Pro ($20/month), the free Claude desktop app, and a Gmail or Outlook account. No coding, no extra software.
How long does setup take? About 15 minutes, one time. After that the briefing runs automatically every morning on the schedule you choose.
Does the briefing send anything on my behalf? No — it lands as a draft email in your own drafts folder. Nothing goes out to anyone else.
Set up your morning coach this week.
Follow the six steps above. And by the way — it doesn’t need to be 6am. Pick the hour that actually matches your life.
You don’t need a better morning routine. You need a better morning briefing.
This exercise is designed to do one thing: set appointments. Track your progress and pay attention to what is converting.
